Cozy MC Discord Applications Terms

These terms govern the use of Discord applications operated by Cozy MC, LLC within the official Cozy MC Discord community.

The applications currently include:

These applications are private community tools. They are not offered for public installation in outside Discord servers.

Use of these applications is also subject to:

the Discord Terms of Service;

the Discord Community Guidelines;

the Cozy MC Rules;

applicable Cozy MC World Decision and petition procedures; and

applicable law.

If these terms conflict with a controlling Discord requirement, the applicable Discord requirement controls.

Cozy MC is a 13+ mixed-age community for teenagers and adults.

A user must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required by Discord in the user’s country or region.

The applications are not intended for anyone below Discord’s applicable minimum age.

SMP Chat, PvP Chat, and Creative Chat provide public communication bridges between designated Cozy MC Discord channels and corresponding Cozy MC Minecraft servers.

By deliberately posting an ordinary message in a designated bridge channel, the user directs and authorizes the applicable application to transmit and display that message in public Minecraft chat.

By deliberately posting in public Minecraft chat on a bridged server, the user understands that the message may be transmitted and displayed in the corresponding public Cozy MC Discord channel.

The user retains whatever rights the user otherwise holds in the message.

The user grants Cozy MC the limited permission necessary to transmit, display, format, secure, troubleshoot, and moderate the message as part of the bridge.

A user who does not want a Discord message transmitted into Minecraft should not post it in a designated bridge channel.

A user who does not want a Minecraft message transmitted into Discord should not post it in bridged public Minecraft chat.

The chat bridge applications may post selected public Minecraft server events in the applicable Discord channel, including:

player usernames;

Minecraft skin avatars;

logins;

logouts;

advancements;

deaths;

player kills; and

server online or offline status.

The applications are not intended to publish private commands, player IP addresses, private coordinates, private moderation records, or general console output in public Discord channels.

SMP Chat is the public bridge for Cozy MC’s main survival Minecraft server.

SMP Chat is not used for:

Discord-Minecraft account linking;

required account linking;

role synchronization;

nickname synchronization; or

ban synchronization.

SMP Chat’s Discord message permissions are limited to #in-game-chat.

Petition Bot provides tools for Cozy MC World Decision petitions and voting.

An eligible member may use the applicable slash command to submit petition information.

Petition Bot may create a public petition post and discussion thread and may later publish an eligible petition as a public Discord poll.

Petition submissions, discussion threads, voting records, and outcomes may remain visible as part of Cozy MC’s public governance history.

Submitting a petition does not guarantee that the petition will proceed to a vote or be approved.

Cozy MC may reject, remove, postpone, correct, restore, archive, or otherwise administer a petition in accordance with Cozy MC’s petition procedures and moderation authority.

Where a valid privacy request concerns a public governance record, Cozy MC may anonymize or remove the submitter’s identifier where reasonably possible while preserving the petition, discussion, vote, and outcome as a historical community record.

Users must not use a Cozy MC application to:

harass, threaten, exploit, deceive, or impersonate another person;

post unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized material;

share passwords, tokens, credentials, or private account access;

publish real-world addresses, intimate information, or unnecessary private information;

expose private moderation, safety, support, or case information;

spam, flood, or disrupt a bot, Discord channel, or Minecraft server;

circumvent Discord or Cozy MC permissions, restrictions, or safety controls;

attempt to obtain a bot token, secret, database, or protected system access;

interfere with application operation or security;

use an application to violate Discord’s rules or Cozy MC policy; or

infringe another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, or other legal rights.

A public bridge message may be seen, copied, quoted, moderated, or retained by people who receive it.

Deleting a message from Discord does not necessarily recall a copy already displayed in Minecraft or independently retained in another user’s local game-client log.

Users are responsible for considering the public and cross-platform nature of a bridge channel before posting.

Cozy MC may remove content or restrict a user’s access to an application where reasonably necessary to:

enforce Cozy MC rules;

protect community safety;

protect application or server security;

respond to abuse or disruption;

comply with Discord requirements;

comply with law or valid legal process; or

protect the rights of Cozy MC or another person.

Use of a Cozy MC application does not create a right to continued access to Cozy MC, Discord, a Minecraft server, a Discord channel, a petition process, or a particular application feature.

Cozy MC may update, interrupt, restrict, replace, or discontinue an application or feature where reasonably necessary for:

maintenance;

security;

privacy;

platform compliance;

technical compatibility;

community operations; or

service availability.

Cozy MC does not guarantee that an application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available.

Cozy MC will make reasonable efforts to keep public descriptions and privacy information accurate when application functionality materially changes.

Cozy MC does not charge players to use the applications covered by these terms.

Cozy MC does not accept player payments or donations in exchange for application access, roles, moderation treatment, petition outcomes, or Minecraft advantages.

Those notices explain the information processed, purposes, recipients, retention practices, privacy choices, and request procedures.

Discord independently operates the Discord platform.

Microsoft and Mojang independently operate Minecraft and related account services.

Some Cozy MC applications use open-source or third-party software, including DiscordSRV.

Those third parties have their own terms, privacy practices, software licenses, and service-availability rules.

Cozy MC is not responsible for an outside platform’s independent operation, account decisions, outages, or information practices.

Cozy MC is not approved by or affiliated with Discord, Mojang Studios, or Microsoft Corporation.

A suspected bot-token exposure, unauthorized application access, privacy problem, or security vulnerability should be reported privately and promptly to:

Do not publish credentials, exploit details, or sensitive evidence in a public Cozy MC channel.

A user may stop using a chat bridge by no longer posting in its designated Discord channel or public bridged Minecraft chat.

A user may request access, correction, or deletion through a private support ticket or by emailing [email protected].

Cozy MC may discontinue an application and delete locally retained Discord API Data that is no longer required by law or reasonably necessary for an unresolved safety, security, moderation, dispute, or legal matter.

Cozy MC may update these terms when application functions, Discord requirements, Cozy MC policy, or applicable legal obligations change.

The current version will be published on this page with an updated date.

A material change to an application’s reviewed functionality or Discord API Data use will be reviewed before implementation and submitted to Discord for further review where required.
