Welcome to Cozy MC!

This is a 13+ survival world where community comes first.

These are the essentials the full rules are posted below and always apply.

AGE
  • 13+ only. Under 13 is not permitted.
  • We do not ask for ages. If someone self-identifies as under 13 or appears unable to safely participate, they may be removed.
BE KIND
  • Everyone belongs here.
  • No hate, harassment, slurs, bullying, or discrimination ever.
  • Keep it cozy: no heavy debate topics (politics, religion, etc.).
PRIVACY & SAFETY
  • Do not ask for or share personal information.
  • No ages, real names, locations, socials, DMs, or identifying info.
  • Recording, possessing, or sharing voice chat audio is NEVER allowed.
GAMEPLAY
  • No griefing. No stealing.
  • You may harvest crops, but never take items from containers that aren't yours without permission.
  • PvP is consent-only.
  • Fair play only X-ray, lava-fog removal, exploit abuse = permanent ban.
  • TNT duping is allowed. Other dupes are not.
NO ADS / NO POACHING
  • No advertising or recruiting to other servers or Discords even "friend servers."
  • No external Discord/server links anywhere on Cozy platforms.
CONTENT & RECORDING
  • You may post gameplay/screenshots.
  • Do NOT record voice chat.
  • Do not show other players' nametags.
  • You are posting as yourself not as an official Cozy MC channel.
ENFORCEMENT
  • Staff decisions are final.
  • Discord bans are permanent and not appealable.
  • Appeals (when offered) are Minecraft-only and handled via Discord tickets.
VERIFICATION
    To play, read the full rules on our discord, then type the verification word in Minecraft chat. The verification word is found in the Rules channel on our discord.

Discord + Minecraft

A Minecraft survival world where community comes first.

Our rules aren't just restrictions they are protections. They exist to keep Cozy MC safe, fair, welcoming, and compliant with applicable platform standards (Discord Terms/Guidelines; Minecraft/Mojang/Microsoft/Xbox community & usage standards).

By participating in any Cozy MC–affiliated space including the Cozy MC Discord, the Minecraft server, and any official Cozy MC–controlled channels, services, or bots you agree to follow all rules below and any future updates.

1) AGE POLICY (13+)
  • Cozy MC is 13+ only.
  • Players under the age of 13 are not permitted to play on Cozy MC under any circumstances. This applies to the Minecraft server, the Cozy MC Discord, and all Cozy MC–affiliated platforms.
  • Discord access is 13+ per Discord ToS no exceptions.
  • We do not ask for ages; age questions are prohibited. If a player self-identifies as under 13, or appears unable to safely participate, staff may remove them for safety and compliance reasons.
  • Why: Online safety and platform compliance.
2) RESPECT & INCLUSIVITY (APPLIES EVERYWHERE)
  • Everyone belongs here. Cozy MC welcomes all races, genders, sexualities, identities, abilities, and backgrounds.
  • No hate ever. Harassment, bullying, slurs, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or ableism = instant permanent ban. No appeals.
  • Kindness first. Disagreements happen; insults, hostility, intimidation, threats, dogpiling, or targeted harassment are not welcome.
  • Keep it cozy. Avoid heavy topics and debate-stage content (politics, religion, etc.). This is a safe hangout.
  • Public chat language: English is required in public channels for moderation and safety. If you need another language, use private messages or designated language channels if available.
3) PRIVACY & PERSONAL INFORMATION (STRICT)
    Protect your privacy and others' privacy. Do not request or share personal information even "as a joke," even "with permission," even "with good intentions."
    This includes (not limited to):
  • Age (no ages, no "how old are you," no "I'm 15," no "I'm 22")
  • Full birthdate, place of birth
  • Real name / full name / first initial + last name
  • Address, geolocation, school, workplace
  • Phone number, email address
  • Social media handles or links tied to real identity
  • Government IDs, financial info, payment details
  • IP address, login details, doxxing content
  • Photos/videos/screenshots that identify someone or reveal private details
  • Any other info traceable to a specific individual
    • Safety note: Do not post or share other players' private details or DMs. Recording, possessing, or sharing voice chat audio is strictly prohibited under all circumstances. If something feels unsafe, report it to staff.
4) NSFW / MATURE CONTENT (NOT ALLOWED)
    Cozy MC is a 13+ community and follows Minecraft/Microsoft/Xbox safety standards. All content must be suitable for all audiences.
    No NSFW or mature content of any kind, including:
  • Sexual content, sexual jokes/innuendo, explicit roleplay
  • Gore or disturbing themes
  • Sexualized avatars/skins, fetish content, or "edgy" sexual humor
    • This rule applies everywhere, including:
  • Discord chat (all channels)
  • Discord voice chat
  • In-game voice or proximity chat
  • Discord bios and custom statuses
  • In-game chat
  • Skins, capes, usernames
  • Builds, signs, books, maps, item names
  • Images, videos, stickers, emojis, reactions
    • Consequences: May result in immediate permanent ban at staff discretion, or a ban requiring a case review (when applicable).
5) MINECRAFT GAMEPLAY RULES
    No Griefing / No Theft
  • No griefing or stealing. Everyone's builds and items are safe.
  • Do not take anything from containers that aren't yours, even if it looks abandoned or you don't value the items.
  • Harvesting crops in the world is allowed. However, containers are never public by default. You may not take items from chests, barrels, shulker boxes, hoppers, or any other storage that is not yours without explicit permission, regardless of appearance, location, or intent.
  • Spawn has additional restrictions. Storage, farms, and builds near spawn are governed by Spawn-Rules channel on discord and may be removed or enforced regardless of intent.
  • If it isn't yours, leave it alone.
    • Theft Policy (Enforcement)
  • First offense may result in a permanent ban.
  • If theft is determined to be minor and a return is granted (rare), return may require a full wipe of inventory and containers as a condition of return.
  • Second offense = permanent ban.
    • PvP / Combat
  • PvP is consent-only. No traps, ambushes, baiting, or forced fights.
    • Fair Play (Mods / Clients)
    Allowed:
  • Shaders
  • Replay Mod
  • Distant Horizons
  • Bobby
  • Freecam (allowed, but NOT for exploring/scouting and NOT when prohibited by event rules)
  • FairPlay minimap in minimal/fairplay mode only (entities OFF, caves OFF)
  • Litematica is allowed, but EasyPlace / QuickPlace (or equivalent automation) is not allowed
    • Not allowed:
  • X-ray of any kind
  • Removing lava fog to see through lava
  • Fullbright
  • Dynamic Lights
  • Glowing ores
  • Anything that removes survival challenge or provides unfair advantage
    • Instant permaban integrity examples:
  • X-ray confirmed by multiple staff
  • Removing lava fog or visibility exploits to locate ancient debris or other resources
    • Dupes / Exploits
  • TNT duping = allowed.
  • All other dupes/exploit paths are disabled or prohibited. Exploit abuse may result in bans and cross-platform removal at staff discretion.
    • Spawn Protection
  • Within ±500 Overworld blocks of spawn: no shops, personal/private storage, or auto-farms. Crops for decoration/food are fine.
  • End & Nether spawn have their own restrictions.

    • Events
  • Follow event guidelines. No disruption.
    • No Gambling / Casino Simulations + No RMT
  • No casino or gambling simulations (roulette, blackjack, slots, prize pools, or chance-based wagering mechanics).
  • No RMT (real-money trading): no buying or selling in-game items, shops, currency, or services for real money, discord nitro, gift cards, crypto, external payment, or the like.
    • Report Rulebreaking
  • If you see something concerning, report it to staff. Protecting the community is everyone's responsibility.
6) CONDUCT EXPECTATIONS (DISCORD + IN-GAME)
    Not allowed:
  • Spamming, trolling, baiting, or disruptive behavior
  • Unnecessary pings or harassment of staff
  • Advertising or self-promotion outside approved channels
  • Recruiting to other servers or Discords, including "friend servers" or "private groups"
  • Impersonation of staff or claiming to be an "official Cozy MC" channel
  • Manipulating, isolating, grooming, or pressuring new players
  • "False-friendship" tactics to influence players or redirect them elsewhere
  • Undermining community morale via coordinated negativity, misinformation, or off-platform narratives intended to destabilize Cozy MC
    • External links policy (safety & interference):
  • Posting, placing, or hosting external Discord or server links anywhere on Cozy platforms (messages, signs, books, maps, item names, or builds) is prohibited regardless of intent. This applies regardless of whether the link is described as friendly, private, partnered, or Minecraft-related.
  • Enforcement is based on the presence and safety impact of the content not on who placed it.
7) ANTI-POACHING / ANTI-INFILTRATION
    Because player safety and community integrity matter:
  • No recruiting or redirecting Cozy players to off-platform groups, Discords, or servers publicly or privately.
  • Joining Cozy MC with intent to disrupt, undermine, harass, coordinate interference, or funnel players elsewhere is bad-faith participation.
  • Any behavior on Cozy platforms or off intended to harm Cozy MC, undermine safety, evade enforcement, or circumvent rules may result in removal. Intent matters as much as action.
8) RECORDING & POSTING POLICY
    Gameplay Recording (Allowed)
  • You may record or post Minecraft gameplay on Cozy MC as long as you follow all rules.
    • Voice Chat & Audio (NOT ALLOWED EVER)
  • Recording, sharing, possessing, or streaming voice chat is not allowed under any circumstances, including Discord voice channels and in-game proximity chat even with consent.
    • Screenshots & Visuals
  • Do not include private information or DMs.
  • Do not show other players' nametags.
  • Do not post chat logs containing personal info or harassment.
    • Representation & Integrity
  • You are posting as yourself, not as an official Cozy MC representative.
  • Do not impersonate staff or misrepresent Cozy MC for attention or controversy.
  • Staff will never ask for passwords, personal info, or payment. Report impersonation immediately.
  • Staff will not handle moderation, verification, or appeals via direct messages unless initiated by staff.
    • We reserve the right to request removal of content that creates safety, harassment, or misrepresentation risks.
9) ENFORCEMENT, DISCRETION & APPEALS
    Instant Permanent Ban (No Appeal)
    Includes (but not limited to):
  • Hate, harassment, discrimination, slurs
  • Threats, violence, or encouraging harm
  • X-ray or severe integrity abuse
  • Alt-account evasion
  • Coordinated interference or major disruption
    • Staff Discretion
  • Staff may remove anyone deemed unsafe or acting in bad faith.
  • Enforcement may consider off-platform conduct when it credibly impacts Cozy MC.
  • Staff decisions are final. Arguing moderation actions outside support tickets may result in further action.
    • Discord Bans
  • Discord bans are reviewed, intentional, permanent, and closed.
  • If you are banned from Discord, the matter is not appealable.
  • Bans are not discussed publicly.
    • Appeals
  • Appeals (when offered) apply only to Minecraft-only actions and only while you still have Discord access, via Discord support tickets.
  • Appeals are not handled by email or other platforms.
  • Appeals are not guaranteed and are offered at staff discretion.
10) VERIFICATION
    Cozy MC uses manual onboarding for safety.
    By typing the verification word, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to follow all rules now and as they are updated in the future.

    How to verify (in Minecraft chat):
  • Java: Type the verification word from the discord Rules channel in chat.
  • Bedrock: Type the verification word in chat using /me. Example: /me verification-word
    • Important:
  • Verification is not case sensitive.
  • Verification is manual and may take time.
  • Typing the verification word does not guarantee approval; it confirms agreement to the rules.
  • Do not share the verification word. Sharing it may result in removal. If you want to help others find the word, tell them to read the rules.
