Cozy MC, LLC operates CozyMC.com and the official Cozy MC community.

This notice explains how Cozy MC handles information when someone visits our website, connects to an official Cozy Minecraft server, participates in our official Discord community, contacts us, or submits a support, privacy, moderation, or safety report.

We process limited information needed to deliver and secure our services, operate and moderate the community, respond to reports and support requests, prevent abuse, and maintain backups.

Cozy MC does not sell personal information, does not share it for advertising, and does not use it for targeted advertising. Cozy MC does not accept player payments or donations and does not collect player payment information.

Cozy MC is an independent Minecraft community. Cozy MC is not approved by or affiliated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft Corporation, Discord, or Cloudflare. Those companies independently operate their own services and have their own privacy practices.

This notice covers information handled through CozyMC.com; the official Cozy MC Minecraft servers; the official Cozy MC Discord community; official Cozy MC bots and controlled services; official support tickets; the written safety-reporting route; privacy and parent or guardian communications; official Cozy MC business and technical communications; and Cozy MC's official pages on other platforms, where those are listed at cozymc.com/rules/about.

This notice does not govern an independent player-run Minecraft server, Discord community, website, social-media account, or other space unless Cozy MC expressly identifies it as an official Cozy MC service.

When a browser requests a CozyMC.com page, Cozy MC and its infrastructure providers may process ordinary technical information: your IP address; the date and time of the request; browser type and user agent; the page, path, or endpoint requested; the referring page, when supplied by the browser; response and status information; security and abuse-prevention signals; and an approximate country or region derived from the IP address, used for security only.

We use this information to deliver the requested website content, secure the website, identify abusive, malicious, or automated traffic, diagnose errors and availability problems, and maintain reliable service. We do not request precise location.

Ordinary public website access logs are retained for 14 days.

CozyMC.com does not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, session replay, heatmaps, advertising pixels (Reddit, Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, or any other), conversion APIs, or server-side advertising tracking. Fonts, scripts, and media are served from CozyMC.com and its infrastructure providers rather than from advertising or analytics companies.

CozyMC.com sets no cookies during ordinary browsing and uses no local storage to track visitors.

Cloudflare security cookie. If Cloudflare presents a bot-protection or security challenge, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie named cf_clearance to remember that the visitor completed the challenge, so it isn't presented again immediately. Duration: approximately 30 minutes under Cozy MC's current configuration. Category: necessary website security. It is not used for advertising.

Cloudflare Turnstile. CozyMC.com uses Cloudflare Turnstile on the written safety-reporting page to protect the form from automated abuse. In Cozy MC's current implementation, Turnstile does not set a browser cookie during ordinary use. Turnstile and Cloudflare may process limited technical and security information required to distinguish legitimate use from automated abuse.

Display preference. If you choose light or dark mode with the switch on the site, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name cozymc-theme so the site can apply it on your next visit. It is set only when you use the switch, it contains only the word light or dark, it is never sent to Cozy MC or anyone else, and it is not used to identify or track you. If you never use the switch, nothing is stored and the site follows your device's setting. You can remove it at any time by switching back to your device's setting or by clearing your browser's site data.

CozyMC.com uses Cloudflare for website delivery and caching, domain and traffic routing, Cloudflare Workers, security and abuse prevention, Cloudflare Turnstile, and public-media storage through Cloudflare R2. Cloudflare may process technical request information such as IP address, browser or device information, requested resources, security signals, and challenge results. Public website images and media may be stored in a Cloudflare R2 bucket controlled by Cozy MC. Cloudflare independently handles information under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

When someone connects to or participates in an official Cozy MC Minecraft server, Cozy MC and its authorized technical providers may process: Minecraft username; account UUID or comparable platform identifier; Java, Bedrock, Floodgate, or related connection identifier; IP address; connection date and time; login, logout, session, and server-routing information; verification and access status; chat, command, and private-message records; block changes and related world activity; container and item interactions; sign, entity, and gameplay audit information; anti-cheat, abuse-prevention, and security signals; technical errors and server-performance information; warnings, mutes, kicks, bans, and moderation notes; and information reasonably necessary to investigate griefing, theft, cheating, account compromise, harassment, ban evasion, or another reported concern.

Cozy MC uses this information to operate the Minecraft services; verify and manage access; protect player accounts, builds, items, and the persistent world; restore damage and investigate property disputes; diagnose technical problems; prevent and investigate cheating or abuse; enforce Cozy MC rules; document moderation decisions; investigate safety reports; and prevent repeated abuse or ban evasion.

In-game chat and private messages. Chat, commands, and private messages (/msg) on the Minecraft servers are logged for moderation. An automatic chat filter is being set up; when it runs, it screens messages on Cozy MC's own server and sends nothing elsewhere. Staff review these logs only in response to a report or a specific, recorded concern about a rule violation, never routinely. The logs are deleted on the schedule below.

Anyone can see the block log. The world's block and container history is visible in-game to every player through the /co inspect command, so that theft and griefing can be traced by anyone. It shows Minecraft usernames and times, not chat or private messages.

Cozy MC does not need and will not request a player's Microsoft or Minecraft password.

Live proximity voice audio may be transmitted in real time to provide the optional voice feature. Cozy MC does not record or retain the contents of live voice chat, and its rules prohibit anyone else from recording it.

Discord independently operates the Discord platform under the Discord Privacy Policy.

When someone participates in the official Cozy MC Discord, Cozy MC staff and authorized bots may process information made available through that community: Discord username and display name; Discord user ID; roles and verification status; messages and reactions posted in official Cozy MC spaces; join and departure information available to authorized staff or bots; support-ticket content; moderation records; reports submitted through official Cozy MC channels; message links; and relevant attachments voluntarily submitted or specifically requested.

Cozy MC does not have access to private direct messages between members and does not read them. A private message may be reviewed when someone voluntarily reports it through an official Cozy MC route; staff look at what the reporter sent, for that report, and nothing more.

Ticket transcripts are kept only for the periods in the retention schedule below, are visible only to staff with a need to know, and are never shared with other members or posted publicly.

Following a Discord invitation from CozyMC.com takes the visitor to a Discord-controlled service. Discord independently processes account, device, message, connection, and usage information under its own privacy practices.

Cozy MC operates certain private Discord applications to provide public Discord–Minecraft chat bridges, World Decision petitions and voting, and other community functions. The Cozy MC Discord Applications Privacy Notice identifies each application, its purpose, the Discord Gateway Intents it uses, the information it accesses or retains, its retention practices, and how users may request access, correction, or deletion: https://www.cozymc.com/discord-apps-privacy

The following tools process member information on Cozy MC's behalf. Each provider's own privacy notice describes its practices; Cozy MC remains responsible for how the information is used.

• Ticket Tool (Discord bot) — creates private support tickets, stores ticket messages and attachments, and generates transcripts when a ticket is closed. Ticket content and transcripts are stored on Ticket Tool's infrastructure and in Cozy MC's private staff channels.
• LiteBans (Minecraft plugin) — records warnings, mutes, kicks, and bans, with the account identifier, the connecting IP address at the time, the reason, the staff member, and the date. Stored in Cozy MC's database.
• CoreProtect (Minecraft plugin) — records block, container, and item interactions, and in-game chat and commands (including private messages), with the account identifier and time, so that griefing, theft, and reported conduct can be investigated and reversed. Stored in Cozy MC's database; records older than 90 days are purged monthly.
• LuckPerms (Minecraft plugin) — records each account's verification status and permissions. Stored in Cozy MC's database.
• Chat filter (Minecraft plugin) — being set up — will screen chat, private messages, signs, books, and item names against a word list on Cozy MC's own server. Nothing is sent to a third party.
• Simple Voice Chat (Minecraft mod) — transmits live proximity voice through Cozy MC's server. Nothing is recorded.
• Geyser and Floodgate — let Bedrock players connect, using a Bedrock identifier in place of a Java UUID.
• Discord AutoMod — Discord's own filtering, used to hide verification messages and block prohibited content. Operated by Discord under Discord's privacy policy.
• MEE6 (Discord bot) — records moderation actions and edited or deleted messages, with the Discord username, user ID, channel, and message text, in a staff-only log channel so that staff can see what was removed and act on it. MEE6 processes this information on its own infrastructure under its own privacy policy. Cozy MC replaces the log channel every 90 days, which deletes its contents.
• ProBot (Discord bot) — sends a welcome message by direct message when someone joins the Discord community, using the Discord user ID. ProBot processes this on its own infrastructure under its own privacy policy.
• Dyno (Discord bot) — carries out Discord bans, and timed holds and suspensions, when a staff member gives the command; sends the person the notice by direct message at the moment it acts; and keeps a case record of each action — the Discord user ID, the action, the reason, the staff member, and the date — on its own infrastructure under its own privacy policy. A ban case is the permanent-ban record described in the retention schedule.
• Cozy MC's own Discord applications — described in the Discord Applications Privacy Notice.

Current Cozy MC members should ordinarily use a private Discord support ticket for support, moderation reports, and any appeal available under Cozy MC policy. People who cannot appropriately use the Discord ticket system — including parents and guardians, and anyone who is not a member — may use the written safety-reporting route or email [email protected]. Appeals may be sent to [email protected].

Information received through support or safety channels may include Discord or Minecraft account identifiers; the contents of the report or request; approximate dates and platforms; relevant message links; narrowly requested evidence; staff notes; responses from involved people; findings and disposition records; and information reasonably necessary to assess an immediate or continuing safety concern.

The written safety-reporting form does not provide an ordinary file-upload field; is delivered by email; is not stored in the website's database; uses Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention; and does not insert the visitor's IP address, browser details, or request headers into the resulting safety-report email. Ordinary website and Cloudflare security systems may still process separate technical request information to deliver and secure the page.

Sensitive case information is restricted to people with a need to know.

Information we don't ask for. Cozy MC does not ask for health, sexual-orientation, religious, or other sensitive personal information. A report sometimes includes information like this because a member chose to share it. Cozy MC uses it only to handle that report, restricts it to the people handling the report, and deletes it when the matter closes unless it is part of a finding that must be kept.

Ages. Cozy MC does not collect or verify ages, and staff do not ask anyone's age — not even in a safety review. Staff act on conduct. If a report includes an age that someone stated, it stays in that report for the report's retention period, is passed to a platform or authority only as part of what was observed, and is not recorded as a fact about the person anywhere else.

Cozy MC does not record live Discord or in-game voice chat. A person reporting something heard in voice chat should provide a written report rather than creating or forwarding a recording.

A report, allegation, or third-party statement is not treated as a verified finding. Cozy MC evaluates relevant information, and the person a report concerns ordinarily has a chance to respond, before any moderation or safety finding is made.

Cozy MC may disclose limited information to an appropriate platform, emergency service, law-enforcement agency, court, regulator, attorney, insurer, or other authorized recipient where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or protection from serious harm.

Authorized website administrators and technical contractors may process information associated with CMS administration, including administrator account information, authentication and session information, content revisions, publication records, administrative activity, security events, and technical-support communications. CMS content is stored in PostgreSQL. Public images and media may be stored through Cloudflare R2.

Public website content may include Minecraft usernames, creator credits, artist credits, screenshots, or other community information when Cozy MC has an appropriate reason or permission to publish it. Other players' nametags are hidden in screenshots unless the player asked to be credited. Information intentionally published on a public page may be viewed, copied, linked, indexed, archived, summarized, or quoted by search engines, social platforms, AI systems, and other visitors.

Cozy MC does not publish private support records, private moderation evidence, reporter identities, private case responses, or sensitive safety information.

Where Cozy MC has official pages on other platforms, they are listed at cozymc.com/rules/about. Those platforms process what you post there under their own privacy policies, and Cozy MC does not collect it. Cozy MC never asks for usernames, ages, or personal information on those pages, hides comments that identify a member or contain personal information when staff see them or they're reported, and does not handle reports, verification, or appeals through them.

Cozy MC may receive information directly from the person concerned; automatically from a browser, device, or network connection; from activity on official Cozy MC Minecraft or Discord services; from Discord, Microsoft, Mojang, Cloudflare, and other platforms involved in the interaction; from official Cozy MC bots and technical systems; from a reporter, witness, parent, guardian, attorney, or authorized representative; from authorized Cozy MC personnel, developers, system administrators, and service providers; and from relevant publicly available information where reasonably necessary for safety, security, moderation, abuse prevention, or legal purposes. Staff do not search for members' real-world accounts; they may review material already submitted in a report.

Some technical request information, such as an IP address, requested page, browser information, and security signals, is processed automatically when a person uses the website or connects to an online service. Without that limited technical processing, Cozy MC may be unable to deliver or secure the requested service.

A Discord account identifier and Minecraft account identifier are required for community verification, account linking, access administration, and support. Without them, Cozy MC may be unable to verify the account or provide the requested access.

Providing information in a support, moderation, or safety report is voluntary. Cozy MC may be unable to investigate or respond effectively when insufficient information is provided.

Cozy MC uses information as reasonably necessary to provide CozyMC.com; operate its official Minecraft and Discord services; provide onboarding and verification; respond to support requests; maintain website, account, and server security; identify spam, fraud, attacks, cheating, and abuse; diagnose technical problems; protect players, builds, items, and community infrastructure; moderate the community and enforce Cozy MC rules; investigate safety and conduct concerns; document decisions and maintain consistency; prevent repeated abuse and ban evasion; respond to privacy requests; maintain backups and recover from technical failure; comply with law, legal process, platform requirements, and safety obligations; establish, exercise, or defend legal rights; and publish authorized community content.

Where applicable law requires Cozy MC to identify a legal basis, Cozy MC relies on the following.

• Providing requested services. Some processing is necessary to provide a website, Minecraft, Discord, verification, support, or reporting function requested by the person.
• Legitimate interests. Cozy MC has legitimate interests in operating and securing its services, diagnosing technical problems, protecting the community and persistent Minecraft world, responding to support requests, investigating abuse, enforcing rules, documenting decisions, resolving disputes, and preventing ban evasion. We consider the information involved, the purpose, the likely effect on the person, and whether a less intrusive approach is available. Sensitive information that a member chooses to include in a report is handled on this basis and, where relevant, under the exemption for establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims; it is never processed on the basis of consent.
• Legal obligations and legal claims. Information may be processed where necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
• Vital interests, in urgent safety situations. In rare circumstances, information may be processed or disclosed where reasonably necessary to protect someone from imminent and serious harm.

Cozy MC does not rely on consent for any processing described in this notice, because it runs nothing that would require it.

Information may be available to the following recipients where reasonably necessary.

• Authorized Cozy MC personnel: the owner, assigned moderators, safety personnel, and authorized technical administrators. Sensitive support, moderation, and safety information is restricted to a need-to-know basis. Every staff member has attested in writing that they are an adult.
• Authorized contractors: website developers, system administrators, hosting personnel, and other contractors performing authorized technical work.
• Cloudflare: for website delivery, security, routing, Workers, R2 media storage, Turnstile, and related infrastructure.
• CraftLands Hosting S.R.L. and administered infrastructure: for database hosting, infrastructure administration, technical support, and backups where applicable.
• Ticket Tool: for support tickets and transcripts, as described above.
• Discord: when someone uses the Discord platform or when Cozy MC submits a legitimate platform or safety report.
• Microsoft and Mojang: when someone uses Minecraft services or Cozy MC submits a legitimate platform or account report.
• Email and communications providers: for receiving, securing, and responding to official communications and safety reports.
• Professional advisers and authorities: attorneys, insurers, accountants, emergency services, law-enforcement agencies, courts, regulators, platform safety teams, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children where a report is required or appropriate, or other authorized recipients where reasonably necessary and legally permitted.

Cozy MC does not publicly disclose private case evidence, reporter identities, witness information, or another person's private response merely because someone requests it.

Cozy MC does not sell personal information, does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use it for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined by any applicable law. There is nothing to opt out of. CozyMC.com honors Global Privacy Control signals regardless. Cozy MC does not upload member lists, Discord identifiers, Minecraft identifiers, support records, safety reports, or moderation records to any advertising service.

Cozy MC, LLC is organized and operated in Tennessee, United States. Cozy MC and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, Cozy MC relies on applicable service-provider agreements, contractual protections, recognized transfer mechanisms, or another lawful basis. Outside providers describe their international-processing practices in their respective privacy notices.

Cozy MC keeps information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was processed. The schedule:

• Website access logs — 14 days. Deleted
• Cloudflare cf_clearance cookie — About 30 minutes, when a security challenge is presented. Expires
• Display preference (cozymc-theme, in your browser's local storage) — Until you change it or clear your browser's site data. Stays on your device; never sent to Cozy MC
• Website database and media backups — Up to 3 months in the backup cycle. Overwritten
• Minecraft chat, command, and connection logs — 90 days. Deleted by log rotation
• CoreProtect records — blocks, containers, items, chat, and commands including private messages — 90 days. Purged monthly, so nothing older than about 120 days exists
• LiteBans records — warnings, mutes, expired temporary bans — 2 years from the action. Deleted
• LiteBans records — permanent bans — While the service operates. Kept as account identifier, reason, and date; the IP address is removed after 2 years
• Messages and reactions in community channels — Until the author deletes them, staff remove them, or the channel is retired. Stored by Discord under its own privacy policy; members can delete their own messages at any time
• Discord moderation records — warnings, temporary actions, and the staff notes behind them — 2 years from the action. Deleted. Staff channels are retired by calendar year, so many records go sooner. Transition: records made before November 1, 2026 are deleted by October 31, 2027.
• Discord message log (MEE6) — edited and deleted messages, moderation actions — 90 days. The log channel is replaced, which deletes its history
• Discord permanent bans — While the service operates. Discord user ID and reason only
• Verification record — the Discord account and the Minecraft account it verified, with the date — While the service operates. Kept to administer access and to identify an account after a ban; removed on request where no ban depends on it
• Voter register — the Discord account and Minecraft account of a member holding the Voter role — While the member holds the Voter role. Removed when the role is removed or the member leaves
• Support tickets and transcripts — ordinary — 12 months after the ticket closes. Deleted
• Support tickets and transcripts — connected to a warning, ban, or appeal — 2 years from the action. Deleted, unless a permanent ban depends on them, in which case reduced to the finding and identifiers
• Safety reports and evidence — 3 years from the report. Reduced to the finding and identifiers after 12 months; deleted at 3 years unless a legal hold applies
• Appeals — 2 years from the decision. Deleted
• Under-13 removals — While the service operates. Discord user ID, Minecraft UUID, date, "Below platform minimum age." Everything else deleted at removal.
• Staff age attestation — While the person is staff, plus 12 months. Deleted
• Public website content — While published or otherwise reasonably needed for administration, permissions, legal rights, or documentation. Removed

Records connected to an active investigation, a pending appeal, a platform request, or a reasonably anticipated legal claim are kept until that matter ends, then follow the schedule.

Deleting information from an active system may not immediately remove it from a restricted backup. Backup copies age out under the backup schedule and are not restored for ordinary use unless reasonably necessary for recovery, security, or legal obligations.

Cozy MC is a 13+ mixed-age community for teenagers and adults. A person must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required by Discord in their country or region to participate.

Cozy MC does not collect birthdates or verify ages, and its rules prohibit asking anyone their age. If Cozy MC learns that an account belongs to someone under 13, the account is removed, reported to Discord where required, and the personal information Cozy MC holds about it is deleted — except the account identifiers and the reason for removal, which are kept so that the removal stays in place.

People under 13 are not permitted to join the Cozy MC community or submit reports directly. A parent or legal guardian may contact Cozy MC on their behalf. Information for parents and guardians: cozymc.com/parents.

The public CozyMC.com website can be viewed without joining the community, and nothing on it tracks visitors of any age.

Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have rights to ask whether Cozy MC processes information about you; request access to it; receive a copy of certain information; correct inaccurate information; request deletion in appropriate circumstances; request restriction of certain processing; object to certain processing; request portability of certain information; appeal a denied privacy request where applicable; and complain to an applicable privacy or data-protection regulator.

To make a privacy request, contact [email protected]. Please identify the Cozy MC, Discord, or Minecraft account concerned and describe the request clearly. Cozy MC may take reasonable steps to confirm that the requester controls the relevant account or contact method, and does not ordinarily require government identification.

These rights are not absolute. Cozy MC may need to retain or withhold information where reasonably necessary to protect another person's privacy or safety; preserve reporter or witness confidentiality; prevent fraud, abuse, or ban evasion; maintain account or system security; comply with law; preserve an active investigation; establish or defend legal rights; or protect another person's rights.

A privacy request is not a Minecraft or Discord ban appeal and does not automatically reopen or change a moderation decision.

Right to object. Where applicable, a person may object to processing based on Cozy MC's legitimate interests by writing to [email protected], identifying the processing concerned and the relevant account.

Privacy complaints. You may first contact Cozy MC at [email protected] so that we can review and respond. If you are in the United Kingdom, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. If you are in the European Economic Area, you may complain to the data-protection supervisory authority where you live, where you work, or where you believe the issue occurred. Exercising a right to complain does not affect any other rights or remedies available to you.

Cozy MC makes no solely automated decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect concerning anyone. Once the chat filter runs, it automatically blocks a message that matches its word list and tells the player why; any consequence beyond that is decided by a person. Verification is automatic in the sense that a correct verification message grants access, and a person handles anything that goes wrong. Discord's AutoMod, or an anti-spam bot, may automatically block a message that contains mass mentions or repeated pings and apply a short timeout; anything further is decided by a person. Community admission, warnings, moderation, suspensions, bans, appeals, and safety-report outcomes are decided by people, under the published rules.

Cozy MC uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure, including restricted staff and contractor permissions; need-to-know access to sensitive cases; account authentication; encrypted website connections; security monitoring; backups; separation of public content from private records; and review and minimization of sensitive evidence. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Do not send Cozy MC passwords, authentication tokens, recovery codes, API keys, complete account access, government identification, financial information, intimate media, prohibited voice recordings, or unrelated private information about other people. Suspected account compromise or unauthorized access should be reported through an official Cozy MC support or safety route.

Cozy MC may update this notice when its services, providers, legal obligations, or information practices change. The current version will appear on this page with an updated date, and where appropriate Cozy MC will provide additional notice before a material change takes effect.

Cozy MC has decided not to run advertising or tracking on CozyMC.com. This notice and the website would be reviewed, with legal advice, before Cozy MC ever introduced any advertising or analytics tracking, any additional cookie, a materially new website form, or another materially new use of personal information.
