Cozy MC, LLC operates CozyMC.com and the official Cozy MC community.

This notice explains how Cozy MC handles information when someone visits our website, connects to an official Cozy Minecraft server, participates in our official Discord community, contacts us, or submits a support, privacy, moderation, or safety report.

We process limited information needed to deliver and secure our services, operate and moderate the community, respond to reports and support requests, prevent abuse, maintain backups, and measure the effectiveness of an approved Reddit advertising campaign.

Cozy MC does not sell personal information for money.

Some privacy laws use terms such as “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” more broadly. Visitors may disable optional Reddit advertising measurement through Privacy Choices in the website footer. CozyMC.com also honors Global Privacy Control.

Cozy MC does not accept player payments or donations and does not collect player payment information through CozyMC.com.

Cozy MC is an independent Minecraft community. Cozy MC is not approved by or affiliated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft Corporation, Discord, Reddit, or Cloudflare.

Those companies independently operate their own services and have their own privacy practices.

This notice covers information handled through:

CozyMC.com;

official Cozy MC Minecraft servers;

the official Cozy MC Discord community;

official Cozy MC bots and controlled services;

official support tickets;

the written safety-reporting route;

privacy and parent or guardian communications; and

official Cozy MC business and technical communications.

This notice does not govern an independent player-run Minecraft server, Discord community, website, social-media account, or other space unless Cozy MC expressly identifies it as an official Cozy MC service.

When a browser requests a CozyMC.com page, Cozy MC and its infrastructure providers may process ordinary technical information such as:

your IP address;

the date and time of the request;

browser type and user agent;

the page, path, or endpoint requested;

the referring page, when supplied by the browser;

response and status information;

security and abuse-prevention signals; and

an approximate country or region derived from the IP address.

We use this information to:

deliver the requested website content;

secure the website;

identify abusive, malicious, or automated traffic;

diagnose errors and availability problems;

apply the appropriate regional privacy choices; and

maintain reliable service.

We do not request precise GPS location for this purpose.

Ordinary public website access logs are retained for 14 days.

CozyMC.com does not currently use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Reddit Conversions API, server-side advertising tracking, TikTok Pixel, or Google Ads tracking.

The direct browser-side Reddit Pixel described below operates only when the status at the top of this notice is shown as Active and the applicable privacy choice permits it.

CozyMC.com distinguishes between necessary website and security functions and optional Reddit advertising measurement.

Privacy-choice record

CozyMC.com uses local browser storage to remember whether a visitor accepted or rejected optional Reddit advertising measurement.

Local-storage key:

cozymc_privacy_choice

The record contains only:

the accepted or rejected choice;

the date and time of the choice; and

the version of the applicable privacy or consent notice.

The record expires after six months.

It may be reset earlier if Cozy MC materially changes the tracking provider, technology, or purpose.

This record is used to remember the visitor’s privacy choice. Cozy MC does not use it to create an advertising profile.

Clearing browser storage, changing browsers, or using another device may cause the website to request a new choice.

Reddit advertising cookie

When optional Reddit advertising measurement is active and permitted for a visitor, Reddit may set a first-party advertising cookie named:

Where prior consent is required, _rdt_uuid is not created unless the visitor accepts optional Reddit advertising measurement.

When a visitor disables Reddit advertising measurement through Privacy Choices, CozyMC.com stops future Reddit events and deletes _rdt_uuid where technically possible.

Changing or withdrawing a privacy choice does not undo processing that occurred before the choice was changed. Reddit controls its own retention of information it previously received under Reddit’s privacy practices.

Cloudflare security cookie

During ordinary browsing, CozyMC.com does not currently set a Cloudflare or Turnstile cookie.

If Cloudflare presents a bot-protection or security challenge, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie named:

To remember that the visitor successfully completed a Cloudflare security challenge and allow access without immediately presenting the same challenge again.

Approximately 30 minutes under Cozy MC’s current configuration.

Necessary website security.

This cookie is used for website security and not by Cozy MC for advertising.

Cloudflare Turnstile

CozyMC.com uses Cloudflare Turnstile on the written safety-reporting page to protect the form from automated abuse.

In Cozy MC’s current implementation, Turnstile does not set a browser cookie during ordinary use.

Turnstile and Cloudflare may process limited technical and security information required to distinguish legitimate use from automated abuse.

CozyMC.com uses Cloudflare for services that may include:

website delivery and caching;

domain and traffic routing;

Cloudflare Workers;

security and abuse prevention;

Cloudflare Turnstile;

public-media storage through Cloudflare R2; and

approximate country or region information used to apply privacy choices.

Cloudflare may process technical request information such as IP address, browser or device information, requested resources, security signals, and challenge results.

Public website images and media may be stored in a Cloudflare R2 bucket controlled by Cozy MC.

Cloudflare independently handles information under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Current status

The current status of Reddit advertising measurement appears at the top of this page.

When the status is Not active:

the Reddit Pixel does not load for public visitors;

no Reddit PageVisit event is sent;

no Reddit DiscordInviteClick event is sent; and

CozyMC.com does not set the _rdt_uuid cookie.

When the status is Active, the remainder of this section applies.

Where the Reddit Pixel may operate

The direct browser-side Reddit Pixel may load only on allowlisted, published public content pages.

The allowlist approach means that the Pixel is off by default and is enabled only on approved public page types.

The Pixel does not load on:

this Privacy page;

the Privacy Choices interface;

the safety-reporting page;

the CMS or administrative panel;

draft or preview pages;

private pages;

private support areas;

pages containing private case information; or

pages containing private safety-report information.

Events used

The limited Reddit advertising pilot uses two events.

PageVisit:

PageVisit is sent when a permitted visitor reaches the configured Reddit campaign landing page.

PageVisit is not sent merely because the visitor later loads another ordinary public CozyMC.com page.

DiscordInviteClick:

DiscordInviteClick is sent when a permitted visitor deliberately clicks a Cozy MC Discord invitation button on an eligible public content page.

The Pixel may remain available on other eligible published public pages so that DiscordInviteClick can still be attributed after a visitor explores the website or reloads another page.

DiscordInviteClick means only that the invitation button was clicked.

It does not confirm that the visitor:

accepted the Discord invitation;

joined the Cozy MC Discord;

completed Cozy verification;

logged into Minecraft; or

became an active Cozy MC member.

Information Reddit may receive

When optional Reddit advertising measurement is active and permitted for a visitor, Reddit may receive:

IP address;

browser or user-agent information;

page URL;

referring page, when available;

a Reddit advertising click identifier such as rdt_cid;

a Reddit advertising cookie identifier such as _rdt_uuid;

the event type; and

the date and time of the event.

Reddit may use this information to:

attribute website activity to Reddit advertisements;

measure advertising performance;

report advertising conversions;

optimize campaign delivery; and

perform related advertising functions described in Reddit’s own terms and privacy materials.

Cozy MC ordinarily receives campaign and event reporting rather than access to a visitor’s private Reddit account information.

Information intentionally excluded

Automated Advanced Matching and Manual Advanced Matching are disabled.

Cozy MC does not intentionally send Reddit:

email addresses;

phone numbers;

Discord usernames or user IDs;

Minecraft usernames, UUIDs, or account identifiers;

exact ages or birthdates;

real-world names;

form entries;

support-ticket information;

safety-report information;

private messages;

uploaded evidence;

moderation records;

payment information; or

Cozy MC member lists.

Cozy MC does not intentionally combine Reddit Pixel information with a visitor’s private messages, support history, safety-report history, or Minecraft moderation history.

No website-retargeting audience

Cozy MC has not created or enabled a Reddit website-retargeting or website custom audience for this pilot.

The Pixel is being used for campaign measurement and ordinary campaign optimization only.

Using website visitors as a separate retargeting audience would require a separate decision and configuration change.

Consent and regional behavior

For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the Reddit Pixel remains completely unloaded unless the visitor actively accepts optional advertising measurement.

The same prior-consent approach may be applied in another location where Cozy MC determines that it is required.

Before acceptance:

the Reddit Pixel does not load;

no Reddit PageVisit event is sent;

no Reddit DiscordInviteClick event is sent; and

no _rdt_uuid cookie is created by CozyMC.com.

Rejecting optional advertising measurement does not prevent a visitor from:

using the public website;

reading Cozy MC information;

viewing the rules;

seeing connection instructions; or

clicking the Discord invitation.

Outside the current prior-consent region, the Pixel may be enabled by default where permitted, unless the visitor has disabled it through Privacy Choices or an applicable browser privacy signal.

If the visitor’s country or region cannot be determined reliably, the Pixel remains off until the visitor makes a choice.

Global Privacy Control

CozyMC.com honors Global Privacy Control.

When a browser sends a GPC signal:

optional Reddit advertising measurement remains off;

the signal overrides an earlier acceptance;

no future Reddit Pixel events are sent; and

Privacy Choices indicates that GPC is active.

Optional Reddit advertising measurement cannot be enabled through the CozyMC.com interface while the browser continues to send GPC.

Changing a choice

Every visitor can use Privacy Choices in the website footer.

Disabling Reddit advertising measurement:

stops future Reddit events;

prevents the Pixel from loading on later eligible pages;

updates the local privacy-choice record; and

deletes _rdt_uuid where CozyMC.com is technically able to remove it.

Reddit independently processes information previously received under the Reddit Privacy Policy and Reddit Cookie Notice.

When someone connects to or participates in an official Cozy MC Minecraft server, Cozy MC and its authorized technical providers may process information such as:

Minecraft username;

account UUID or comparable platform identifier;

Java, Bedrock, Floodgate, or related connection identifier;

IP address;

connection date and time;

login, logout, session, and server-routing information;

verification and access status;

chat, command, and messaging records where server logging is enabled;

block changes and related world activity;

container and item interactions;

sign, entity, and gameplay audit information where logging is enabled;

anti-cheat, abuse-prevention, and security signals;

technical errors and server-performance information;

warnings, mutes, kicks, bans, and moderation notes; and

information reasonably necessary to investigate griefing, theft, cheating, account compromise, harassment, ban evasion, or another reported concern.

Cozy MC uses this information to:

operate the Minecraft services;

verify and manage access;

protect player accounts, builds, items, and the persistent world;

restore damage and investigate property disputes;

diagnose technical problems;

prevent and investigate cheating or abuse;

enforce Cozy MC rules;

document moderation decisions;

investigate safety reports; and

prevent repeated abuse or ban evasion.

Cozy MC does not need and will not request a player’s Microsoft or Minecraft password.

Live proximity voice audio may be transmitted in real time to provide the optional voice feature. Cozy MC does not intentionally record or retain the contents of live proximity voice chat.

Routine Minecraft technical, security, gameplay, and audit records are retained according to applicable operational schedules and for as long as reasonably needed for restoration, troubleshooting, security, moderation, investigation, and dispute resolution.

Records connected to an active safety, moderation, security, or legal matter may be retained longer.

Discord independently operates the Discord platform under the Discord Privacy Policy.

When someone participates in the official Cozy MC Discord, Cozy MC staff and authorized bots may process information made available through that community, including:

Discord username and display name;

Discord user ID;

roles and verification status;

messages and reactions posted in official Cozy MC spaces;

join and departure information available to authorized staff or bots;

support-ticket content;

moderation records;

reports submitted through official Cozy MC channels;

message links; and

relevant attachments voluntarily submitted or specifically requested.

Cozy MC does not automatically have access to private direct messages merely because two people are Cozy MC members.

A private message may be reviewed when someone voluntarily reports it through an official Cozy MC route and the information is relevant and reasonably necessary for a rule, safety, privacy, or moderation review.

Following a Discord invitation from CozyMC.com takes the visitor to a Discord-controlled service.

Discord independently processes account, device, message, connection, and usage information under its own privacy practices.

Cozy MC operates certain private Discord applications to provide public Discord-Minecraft chat bridges, World Decision petitions and voting, and other community functions.

Because different applications use different Discord information and functionality, the Cozy MC Discord Applications Privacy Notice identifies each reviewed application, its purpose, the Discord Gateway Intents it uses, the information it accesses or retains, its retention practices, and how users may request access, correction, or deletion.

Current Cozy MC members should ordinarily use a private Discord support ticket for support, moderation reports, and any appeal available under Cozy MC policy.

People who cannot appropriately use the Discord ticket system may use Cozy MC’s written safety-reporting route where eligible.

Information received through support or safety channels may include:

Discord or Minecraft account identifiers;

the contents of the report or request;

approximate dates and platforms;

relevant message links;

narrowly requested evidence;

staff notes;

responses from involved people;

findings and disposition records; and

information reasonably necessary to assess an immediate or continuing safety concern.

The initial written safety-reporting form:

does not provide an ordinary file-upload field;

is delivered by email;

is not stored in the website’s PostgreSQL database;

uses Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention; and

does not intentionally insert the visitor’s IP address, browser details, or request headers into the resulting safety-report email.

Ordinary website and Cloudflare security systems may still process separate technical request information to deliver and secure the page.

Sensitive case information is restricted to people with a need to know.

Cozy MC does not intentionally record live Discord or in-game voice chat. A person reporting something heard in voice chat should ordinarily provide a written report rather than creating or forwarding a recording.

Cozy MC may disclose limited information to an appropriate platform, emergency service, law-enforcement agency, court, regulator, attorney, insurer, or other authorized recipient where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or protection from serious harm.

Authorized website administrators and technical contractors may process information associated with CMS administration, including:

administrator account information;

authentication and session information;

content revisions;

publication records;

administrative activity;

security events; and

technical-support communications.

CMS content is stored in PostgreSQL.

Public images and media may be stored through Cloudflare R2.

Public website content may include Minecraft usernames, creator credits, artist credits, screenshots, testimonials, or other community information when Cozy MC has an appropriate reason or permission to publish it.

Information intentionally published on a public page may be viewed, copied, linked, indexed, archived, summarized, or quoted by search engines, social platforms, AI systems, and other visitors.

Cozy MC does not intentionally publish private support records, private moderation evidence, reporter identities, private case responses, or sensitive safety information.

Cozy MC may receive information:

directly from the person concerned;

automatically from a browser, device, or network connection;

from activity on official Cozy MC Minecraft or Discord services;

from Discord, Microsoft, Mojang, Reddit, Cloudflare, and other platforms involved in the interaction;

from official Cozy MC bots and technical systems;

from a reporter, witness, parent, guardian, attorney, or authorized representative;

from authorized Cozy MC personnel, developers, system administrators, and service providers; and

from relevant publicly available information where reasonably necessary for safety, security, moderation, abuse prevention, or legal purposes.

A report, allegation, or third-party statement is not automatically treated as a verified finding. Cozy MC evaluates relevant information before making a moderation or safety finding.

Some technical request information, such as an IP address, requested page, browser information, and security signals, is processed automatically when a person uses the website or connects to an online service. Without that limited technical processing, Cozy MC may be unable to deliver or secure the requested service.

A Discord account identifier and Minecraft account identifier may be required for community verification, account linking, access administration, or support. Without the necessary identifiers, Cozy MC may be unable to verify the account or provide the requested access.

Providing information in a support, moderation, or safety report is voluntary. However, Cozy MC may be unable to investigate or respond effectively when insufficient information is provided.

Optional Reddit advertising measurement is not required. Rejecting or disabling it does not prevent access to the website, Discord invitation, rules, connection information, or Cozy MC community.

Cozy MC uses information as reasonably necessary to:

provide CozyMC.com;

operate its official Minecraft and Discord services;

provide onboarding and verification;

respond to support requests;

maintain website, account, and server security;

identify spam, fraud, attacks, cheating, and abuse;

diagnose technical problems;

protect players, builds, items, and community infrastructure;

moderate the community and enforce Cozy MC rules;

investigate safety and conduct concerns;

document decisions and maintain consistency;

prevent repeated abuse and ban evasion;

respond to privacy requests;

maintain backups and recover from technical failure;

comply with law, legal process, platform requirements, and safety obligations;

establish, exercise, or defend legal rights;

publish authorized community content;

measure whether Reddit advertisements lead to campaign-page visits and Discord invitation clicks; and

evaluate and optimize the approved Reddit advertising campaign.

Where applicable law requires Cozy MC to identify a legal basis, Cozy MC may rely on the following.

Consent:

We rely on consent for optional Reddit advertising measurement where prior consent is required.

Consent may be withdrawn through Privacy Choices.

Providing requested services:

Some processing is necessary to provide a website, Minecraft, Discord, verification, support, or reporting function requested by the person.

Legitimate interests:

Cozy MC has legitimate interests in operating and securing its services, diagnosing technical problems, protecting the community and persistent Minecraft world, responding to support requests, investigating abuse, enforcing rules, documenting decisions, resolving disputes, and preventing ban evasion.

We consider the information involved, the purpose, the likely effect on the person, and whether a less intrusive approach is available.

We do not rely on legitimate interests instead of consent for the Reddit Pixel where prior consent is required.

Legal obligations and legal claims:

Information may be processed where necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

Urgent safety:

In rare circumstances, information may be processed or disclosed where reasonably necessary to protect someone from imminent and serious harm.

Information may be available to the following recipients where reasonably necessary.

Authorized Cozy MC personnel:

The owner, assigned moderators, safety personnel, and authorized technical administrators.

Sensitive support, moderation, and safety information is restricted to a need-to-know basis.

Authorized contractors:

Website developers, system administrators, hosting personnel, and other contractors performing authorized technical work.

Cloudflare:

For website delivery, security, routing, Workers, R2 media storage, Turnstile, and related infrastructure.

CraftLands Hosting S.R.L. and administered infrastructure:

For website database hosting, infrastructure administration, technical support, and backups where applicable.

Reddit:

For the limited advertising measurement described in this notice when the Pixel is active.

Discord:

When someone uses the Discord platform or when Cozy MC submits a legitimate platform or safety report.

Microsoft and Mojang:

When someone uses Minecraft services or Cozy MC submits a legitimate platform or account report.

Email and communications providers:

For receiving, securing, and responding to official communications and safety reports.

Professional advisers and authorities:

Attorneys, insurers, accountants, emergency services, law-enforcement agencies, courts, regulators, platform safety teams, or other authorized recipients where reasonably necessary and legally permitted.

Cozy MC does not publicly disclose private case evidence, reporter identities, witness information, or another person’s private response merely because someone requests it.

Cozy MC does not sell personal information for money.

Some privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly enough to include certain uses of advertising identifiers or conversion information.

To the extent the Reddit Pixel falls within one of those definitions, visitors may disable it through Privacy Choices.

Where applicable, CozyMC.com also honors Global Privacy Control.

Cozy MC does not upload Cozy MC member lists, Discord identifiers, Minecraft identifiers, support records, safety reports, or moderation records to Reddit for advertising.

Cozy MC has not enabled website-retargeting or a website custom audience for the current Reddit pilot.

Cozy MC, LLC is organized and operated in Tennessee, United States.

Cozy MC and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Privacy laws may differ between countries.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, Cozy MC relies on applicable service-provider agreements, contractual protections, recognized transfer mechanisms, or another lawful basis.

Outside providers describe their international-processing practices in their respective privacy notices.

Cozy MC keeps information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was processed, subject to legal, safety, security, operational, and technical requirements.

Website access logs:

14 days.

Privacy-choice record:

Six months, unless cleared by the visitor or reset earlier because the tracking provider, technology, or purpose materially changes.

Reddit _rdt_uuid cookie:

90 days, unless removed sooner through Privacy Choices or browser controls.

Cloudflare cf_clearance cookie:

Approximately 30 minutes under the current configuration when a security challenge is presented.

Reddit event information:

Retained by Reddit under Reddit’s own configuration, terms, and privacy practices.

Website database and media backups:

May remain in the backup cycle for up to three months.

Public website content:

Retained while published or otherwise reasonably needed for website administration, historical continuity, permissions, legal rights, or documentation.

Minecraft technical and gameplay records:

Retained according to the configured schedule for the applicable system and as reasonably needed for restoration, technical diagnosis, security, moderation, investigation, and dispute resolution.

Support and moderation records:

Retained while reasonably needed to address the matter, document decisions, maintain consistency, protect community safety, resolve disputes, comply with legal or platform obligations, or prevent repeated abuse.

Permanent-ban identifiers:

Limited identifiers may be retained while the service operates where reasonably necessary to enforce permanent exclusions and prevent ban evasion or repeated abuse.

Safety reports and sensitive evidence:

Retained only while reasonably necessary for safety review, legal or platform obligations, dispute handling, or protection of the community.

Raw evidence and particularly sensitive information are reviewed for deletion, restriction, or minimization when no longer reasonably necessary.

Backups:

Deleting information from an active system may not immediately remove it from a restricted backup. Backup copies age out under the applicable backup schedule and are not restored for ordinary use unless reasonably necessary for recovery, security, or legal obligations.

Cozy MC is a 13+ mixed-age community for teenagers and adults.

A person must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required by Discord in their country or region to participate in Cozy MC.

People under 13 are not permitted to join the Cozy MC community or submit reports directly. A parent or legal guardian may contact Cozy MC on their behalf.

The public CozyMC.com website can be viewed without joining the community. Optional Reddit advertising measurement is not required to view the website or join Cozy MC.

A visitor who is not legally able to consent to optional advertising measurement on their own should leave that measurement disabled.

Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have rights to:

ask whether Cozy MC processes information about you;

request access to information about you;

receive a copy of certain information;

correct inaccurate information;

request deletion in appropriate circumstances;

request restriction of certain processing;

object to certain processing;

withdraw consent;

opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable law;

request portability of certain information;

appeal a denied privacy request where applicable; and

complain to an applicable privacy or data-protection regulator.

Please identify the Cozy MC, Discord, or Minecraft account concerned and describe the request clearly.

Cozy MC may take reasonable steps to confirm that the requester controls the relevant account or contact method.

Cozy MC does not ordinarily require government identification for a privacy request.

These rights are not absolute. Cozy MC may need to retain or withhold information where reasonably necessary to:

protect another person’s privacy or safety;

preserve reporter or witness confidentiality;

prevent fraud, abuse, or ban evasion;

maintain account or system security;

comply with law;

preserve an active investigation;

establish or defend legal rights; or

protect another person’s rights.

A privacy request is not a Minecraft or Discord ban appeal and does not automatically reopen or change a moderation decision.

Optional Reddit advertising measurement can be disabled directly through Privacy Choices without submitting a written request.

Where applicable, a person may have the right to object to processing based on Cozy MC’s legitimate interests.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you may submit a complaint to the data-protection supervisory authority in the country where you live, where you work, or where you believe the relevant issue occurred.

Exercising a right to complain does not affect any other rights or remedies available to you.

Reddit may use Pixel information to automate advertising attribution, measurement, and campaign optimization.

Cozy MC does not use Reddit Pixel information to make decisions about:

community admission;

verification;

staff selection;

warnings;

moderation;

suspensions;

bans;

appeals; or

safety-report outcomes.

Cozy MC does not use the Reddit Pixel to make a solely automated decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect concerning a visitor.

Cozy MC moderation and safety findings are subject to human review.

Cozy MC uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These measures may include:
