Verification is done in Discord, not in Minecraft. Sending the verification word confirms you've read, understood, and agreed to follow the rules now and as they're updated.
- Join the Minecraft server first, with the account you want verified. Java:
CozyMC.com. Bedrock: add friendPlayCozyMC, or connect tomc.cozymc.com, port19132. An account that has never joined can't be verified, so do this before you send the word. You can explore and chat right away; you can't build, break, or pick up items until you're verified. - Read the rules and find the verification word yourself. Don't ask for it, guess it, share it, or repost it.
- Send one message in #general containing exactly three things in this order: the verification word, one space, your exact Minecraft username. Nothing else — no labels, brackets,
/me, or/verify.
AutoMod hides the message so the word isn't posted publicly. You'll see a private notice — that's expected and only confirms the message was hidden. Verification is manual and usually quick, but allow up to 24 hours. You'll know you're verified when you can break blocks and pick up items. Still restricted after 24 hours? Open a support ticket.
Bedrock players: use /me to chat in-game, but never for verification. If you switch between Java and Bedrock, join the server with the new account and verify again. Trying to bypass verification is bad-faith participation; if you find a bug, report it.
