The rule. Record and post your gameplay freely. Don't record other people.

In practice

  • Gameplay recording, streaming, and posting are welcome, as long as you're following the rest of the rules while you do it.
  • Never record voice chat (see Privacy).
  • Other players' nametags may appear in screenshots shared inside the Cozy Discord, but not in anything posted outside Cozy — YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and the like.
  • Don't include private information, DMs, or chat logs containing personal details or harassment.
  • You're posting as yourself, not as Cozy MC. Don't impersonate staff, claim to run an official channel, or misrepresent the server for attention or controversy.
  • Staff will never ask for passwords, personal information, or payment, and won't handle moderation, verification, or appeals by DM unless staff started the conversation. Report impersonation.
  • Cozy may ask for removal of content that creates a safety, harassment, or misrepresentation risk.

Cozy's official accounts

Cozy runs official accounts on other platforms; they're listed on the About page, and anything else claiming to be Cozy isn't. They follow the same rules members do, and a few more, because anyone reading them may be a minor: other players' nametags are hidden unless the player asked to be credited; nobody's identity is ever confirmed; Cozy never asks anyone to post a username, an age, or anything personal in a comment or a message, and never runs "comment your username" posts; comments that identify a member or contain personal information are hidden when staff see them or they're reported, or, where Cozy can't hide them (a post in a community Cozy doesn't moderate), reported to that community's moderators and left unanswered; and no reports, verification, or appeals are handled there — a message gets "open a ticket."

Please don't comment on Cozy's posts with your Cozy username from an account that carries your real name. It links the two for anyone who sees it, and nobody here should be findable. If it happens, nobody on Cozy may use it to identify you here, search for you, or bring it in — the privacy rules apply exactly as they do to anything else found outside Cozy — and Cozy's accounts won't acknowledge the connection.

Why this exists

Content is how most people find us, and we want you making it. The limits all come back to the same thing: the people in your footage didn't choose to be in it, and some of them are minors.
