Kingdoms
On Cozy MC, players found kingdoms: groups with their own leaders and rules, shared builds, borders agreed with their neighbors, alliances, rivalries, and lore. It's the politics and history of a nation-building server in a chill, longterm survival world for Java and Bedrock, without the raiding, because Cozy is a sanctuary server.
What a kingdom is
- Its own leaders and rules. Each kingdom decides how it's run and sets rules for its own members, within Cozy's rules, which come first everywhere.
- Shared builds. Towns, farms, roads, and big projects that a whole group builds and keeps up together.
- Diplomacy. Kingdoms agree borders, form alliances, and have rivalries with their neighbors.
- Lore. Kingdoms write their own history, and in a world that never resets, that history keeps building.
Borders without land claims
There are no land claims on Cozy, so nobody hands out land, not even staff. Neighboring kingdoms agree their borders between themselves, usually along natural features like rivers, coastlines, or the edge of a biome, and mark them in the world. When two groups need help working it out, staff can host the conversation in a support ticket, but the groups draw the line.
A border is an agreement between neighbors, not a wall. What protects every kingdom's builds is the same code that protects everyone's: no taking, no breaking, and no fighting unless both players agree. Kingdoms can be rivals, but rivalry here means diplomacy and building, not raids: attacking a build is griefing, and it gets rolled back.
Start or join one
- Join a kingdom: ask in #general on our Discord, and someone will point you to one.
- Found a kingdom: apply in our Discord by opening a support ticket or using
/application. Every application is judged by the same criteria, and each kingdom has its own channel and role there. - Or don't. You can build alone or with a few friends instead, near the roads and towns or out in the wild.
Kingdoms live here, in Cozy's Discord, not in another Discord or a group chat (the Community rules). Kingdom leaders run their kingdoms, but they aren't staff: a theft, a griefed build, or anyone making you uncomfortable goes to staff in a support ticket.
Your say in the shared world
Inside a kingdom, its leaders and members decide how it runs. The shared world — spawn, the roads and travel network, the marketplace in the End, and any specific build — is decided by the community, by petition and vote. Anyone with the Voter role (from #register-to-vote in our Discord) can file a petition or vote. Voting runs three full days, a petition passes with at least 60% of the vote, and staff post each result with the wording that was adopted.
Who'll love it, and who won't
You'll love kingdoms if you want to build something bigger than one base with people you like, lead or help lead a group, write its history, and work out borders and alliances with your neighbors.
They're not for you if conquest is the point. There's no raiding and no war over land here; a factions or civ server will suit you better, and that's fine.
Join in three steps
Cozy MC is free — no payments, no donations, no pay-to-win — and it's for players 13 and up, on Java and Bedrock together.
- Join the server with your own copy of Minecraft. Java (computer):
CozyMC.com. Bedrock (console, phone, or Windows):mc.cozymc.com, port19132— on a console, add the friendPlayCozyMC. You can explore and chat right away. - Join our Discord at cozymc.com/discord. It's where the community talks, organizes, and gets help.
- Verify, so you can build: read the rules and find the verification word. Then, in #general (a channel in our Discord), send one message with the word, a space, and the exact Minecraft username you joined the server with — that account has to have joined first.
